Day 1 - Devonport or Launceston to Bicheno
We travel north east of Launceston to the beautiful Bridestowe Lavender Farms; where everything conceivable is made with lavender! We then continue our journey through the changing landscape of heritage farms, forests and mining towns until we arrive at the spectacular St Columbas Falls (pumping an average 42,000 litres of water per minute!). After a short hike, relax with Priscilla the beer drinking pig at the Pub in the Paddock. We finish our day at the breathtaking Bay of Fires, with a stroll along the pristine white sands or a swim in the sparkling turquoise water (weather permitting). We stay overnight in the seaside township of Bicheno. After dinner, take an optional tour to see little penguins nesting (at own expense). (LD)
Day 2 - Bicheno to Pt Arthur
This morning we climb up Mount Amos in Freycinet National Park for fantastic views over Wineglass Bay. You may choose to hike to Wineglass Beach via the lookout. We travel south to Port Arthur enjoying a rain forest walk on the way. Tonight enjoy the Port Arthur Ghost Tour (at own expense). Overnight Port Arthur (BLD)
